Join Us Sundays at 11:01 AM!

Pastor MikeHi! I am pastor Mike. In our current sermon series, we are looking at Refreshing Our Faith: "Seven Essentials of Christian Belief". This sermon series is designed to engage us in seven fundamentals of our Christian faith. Because of our increasing secular society, it is good to have a refresher course in the elementary beliefs of our Christian walk. The attempt of this series is to strengthen each person's foundation in the personal walk with Jesus Christ, and help us defend our faith in love to those who do not believe. Here are the topics we will be examining each Sunday:

June 8th - Fundamental #1 : Truth Is Fundamental, Essential and Absolute
2 Timothy 2:15-19; John 1:1-5
The 'fundamentals' are the essential truths of the Christian faith, the foundation principals on which our faith stands. The first of these is that truth itself is fundamental. In this sermon, we will answer four questions about truth. Does truth exist? What is truth? What is true? What is important truth? We will learn what is essential when it comes to our faith and how that truth makes us a better Christian.

June 15th - Fundamental #2 : God Is Real
Genesis 1:1-27; Ephesians 4:4-10
There is really no middle ground on this one, if we truly seek out the truth. At the center of any truth there has to be an existance of something, that something is God. But how do I know this? From what perspective do I find the truth of God? We will answer these questions in this sermon and give simple proofs that God is real.

June 22nd - Guest Speaker

June 29th - Fundamental #3 : The Bible Is God's Word
2 Timothy 3:14-17; Psalms
Have you ever wondered where the bible came from, or how it was divinely inspired? This sermon will briefly explain the bible, the difference between the old and new testaments as well as its relevance to our life today. The bible is inspired by God, and still inspires us today. "Thy word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path."

July 6th - Fundamental #4 : Jesus Is Our Savior
Romans 5; 1 Corinthians 15:20,21; Hebrews 10:5-14
The first three sermons in their barest forms do not include anything that is explicitly or distinctly Christian. They are rather prerequisites of our Christian faith. The next four essentials are distinctly Christian. This sermon will explain that Jesus is the Christ, Christ died for our sins, Jesus is the substitutionary atonement, and raised from the dead.

July 13th - Guest Speaker

July 20th - Fundamental #5 : Jesus Is God's Son
John 1:10-17; Hebrews 5:1-14
We will ask and answer some questions about Jesus. Who did Jesus' earliest followers believe Him to be? Who was He in the eyse of His apostles and other contemporaries? What did the first Christians believe? How can we know Jesus is God's son? Join us as we explore these answers according to God's word.

July 27th - Fundamental #6 : God's Grace Is Jesus Christ
John 3:16,17; Acts 2:38; Romans 6:1-14
We sing about grace, we talk about it and at various levels experience and share grace with others. But what does this term mean? How do I find it and really experience it? Well, two words sum up this idea of grace: Jesus Christ. Through our acceptance, belief and baptism we experience this grace and true forgiveness because of God's Son!

August 3rd - Fundamental #7 : Jesus Is Coming Again
Matthew 24; Revelation 22:7-21
Every Christian has probably asked the question, Is Jesus coming back soon? We see undending wars, continual upheaval in the Middle East, earthquakes, inflation, and economic distress. Is the end in sight? The truth is Jesus is coming back again but do we know when? Find out this Sunday, that is if we are still here!

August 10th - Fundamental #8 : Our Purpose Is...
Acts 2 and 4; Matthew 28:16-20
We will recap our seven essential truths and define our purpose as a church. This sermon will show us how we can apply these truths into our world as a church, as various ministries, and as individuals.
